Organization of Your F.I.S.H.
Front Pocket: FYI (Information for Parents from School) -- Look here for important information that is being sent home for parents. Be sure to clean this pocket out nightly!
Zipper Pocket: Lunch Money, Book Orders, Etc. -- Use this pocket to put any money, permission slips, etc. that need to come to school.
Weekly Behavior Chart (White sheet) -- Please check this daily and initial if necessary. Should be signed weekly by parents.
Classroom Information (Blue sheet) -- Class list, Schedule, Policies and Procedures. Please keep this in the folder all year for your reference.
Graded Papers -- Don’t forget to show these off to your parents! In order to stay organized, please clean this pocket out nightly.
Communication Log -- Students -- DO NOT WRITE IN THIS SECTION!!!!! Parents, please check this daily for notes from the teacher. I will check daily for notes from you also. I will initial notes so that you know I’ve seen them, and I ask you to do the same. Please keep all notebook paper in the folder as an ongoing record of our communications.
Back Pocket: Homework -- Homework packets will be assigned weekly on Mondays and is due by Friday. Please keep homework in this pocket whenever you’re not working on it so that you always know where it is.
Rules for Your F.I.S.H.
* Please take very good care of your F.I.S.H. It will be used all year.
* Take your F.I.S.H. home every night and bring it to school every morning.
* Be sure to give anything in the front pocket to your parents ASAP!
* Clean out the “Graded Papers” pocket every night.
* Keep your F.I.S.H. clean. Do NOT eat or drink while using it!
* Do not make any marks or drawings on or in your F.I.S.H. folder.
* Do not let anyone else borrow, write in, or take anything out of your F.I.S.H.
* Keep your F.I.S.H. organized. Do not put in any papers that don’t belong, and be sure to clean it out regularly.
